Zero sat in one of the empty window frames, having looked over the empty city already looking for his opponent, "Nightmare End, I thought she would easier that this to spot" he muttered holding his hands out in front of him and lit up a small spark and made the flame flicker up in patterns above his hands. He looked up at the sun setting "it's getting late" he said, and jumped off the window frame and fell the 2 stories down to the floor his tentacles coming out to stop him from hitting the ground, 'LEFT!' Nee yelled in his head making Zero duck out the way as a knife flew past and bounced off one of the rubble buildings landing on the ground "you know throwing knifes at people doesn't make the best first impression" he said to whoever threw the knife, he knew right away it was Nightmare End by her strange white hood that seemed to block her vision, Zero stepped back and picked up the knife twirling it in his hand "one knife isn't going to help you, I hope you know that" he said but still no response from Nightmare End 'Just kill her!' he snapped but Zero ignored him completely and narrowed his eyes searching Ends mind for anything that would help him but it was all so loud and confusing he couldn't find anything, Nightmare End took this chance to catch him off guard throwing another knife at him, the knife hitting his shoulder and leaving a deep gash in his skin 'I felt that one, you know if you let me deal with this..' Nee started to say but he stopped dead. After a few very quiet, very awkward seconds something hit Zero square in the stomach sending him back into a brick wall "oh shit that hurt" Nee muttered then his eyes snapped open, "you dropped your guard, nice one" he muttered then snickered gently 'don't kill my body' Zeros voice echoed in Nees head, he nodded and stood up "NIGHTMARE END!!! GET OUT HERE YOU SCAREY CAT!!" Nee yelled out and held his hands up in surrender "I JUS WANT TO TALK!" he called looking left to see a hesitating figure peeking around the side of the building "I just want to talk" he said again, she stepped out a knife held tightly in her hand "you can bring the knife, I don't care" he said, End stepped forward "what did you want to say!" she snapped, her voice, and mind, guarded "ok this will probably confuse the hell outta you but, im not Zero, my name is Nee Czarney, at the moment I'm basically forcefully controlling Zeros body, you get me?" he asked, End shook her head "yes, but I dont believe you" she said, Nee shrugged "well most people don't, but that's how I roll, oh and by the way, unlike Zero I have no feeling for irken life so good luck making me care" he said End automatically raised the knife Nee shook his head and held out his hands in defence "wait wait, let me finish, BUT I can tell when someone is worth my time" he said smiling sweetly. End frowned "what do you mean?" she asked her hand tightening on the knife making the knuckles turn white. Nee sighed and lowered his hand "basically im looking for people who are willing to help me take down the guys in charge of this whole midnight arena rubbish, so you willing?" he asked. This shocked End making her hesitate "I er, NO! I mean yes" she said confused, this gave Nee the chance he needed and his hand shot forward, fire curling off his fingers and towards End, the fire burst through her eyes socket and starting to boil her insides "the more you move the worse it gets" he snarled, End gasped in pain clutching her head "WHAT DID YOU DO!" she yelled, Nee smirked evilly and walked forward pulling her head up "you are now being burnt from the inside out, if you beg I might let you die without the agonizing pain" he snarled stopping Ends hand as she aimed a knife at his stomach, another flame burst out his hand burning Ends wrist badly and making her let go of the knife, he pulled it up to her neck "two choices, keep fighting and die slowly or I kill you quickly" he said a bloodthirsty smile plastered over his face. End squirmed "let. me. GO!" She yelled pushing him back and pulled out another knife launching it at him. The fire burnt worse every time she moved, the knife hit Nees side and he recoiled "just die already!" he growled his eyes flaring up and he walked over raising the knife he was holding and stabbed it into her neck, killing her instantly 'you really are heartless' Zeros voice said quietly in his head as Nee tore off part of Ends cape to make bandages for his side and shoulder, he smirked and looked up at the moon which by now was high in the sky "I think I'm going to like this contest"

Chapter 1 - Lost in Translation
It was Wednesday and I was driving my father home from a doctor's appointment. The radio, playing one of the latest hits straight from some overly-hyped singer, was turned down low enough that I could still hear the hum of the engine and the slightly ragged breathing of the man sitting next to me. Smiling over at him, I set a hand on his leg, squeezing it reassuringly. "We'll be home soon." He gave me a simple nod in understanding.
One of the treatments he'd been given was a sort of breathing machine. The machine needed to be plugged in so that it could be used, and while he had been given the trea

Rainy Day
Sometimes he missed the sight of rain, a thing most people took for granted as they reveled in the sound of it. Though he had long ago gotten over the fact that he no longer had functional use of his eyes there were still days when Deagan missed being able to see. Days like this one where he could hear the patter of rain, soft but constant, and he knew that the world would be washed in a haze of gray.
It was not that color ceased to exist like on an old television, but they became more muted. Not that the rain itself produced the effect, he knew it was the cloud cover that did it, but it was one of those things that correlated together in hi

GoW: Deployable Weapon Part 38
Can't Save Them All
From onboard a creature whose eight legs kept it aloft he surveyed the battleground below. He wasn't surprised to see which side had won almost losing his own life to a weapon under no one's control. Her allegiance was clear. Her ability to unblock doors bolted and sealed by the likes of a woman so consumed with power was nothing short of a miracle. No wonder Myrrah had kept them separated until she was sure Mana was just as misled as he was.
Those brown eyes were exactly as he remembered and the maturity in them now how he wished things could've been different. In a moment of clarity he wasn't sure how long would
