Chapter 18

"Okay, people. We need some serious new agent threads," the man cried. Rai stood on a stool with girls taking measurements of her legs, her stomach, her arms and other body parts.
"So, what do you think she should wear," Mr Quest asked Jason, the lead designer and obviously gay.
"Black," he cried and Rai rolled her eyes. Mr Quest nodded.
"Yes, black would be very good as we are going on a night job and busting out a load of school girls," Mr Quest said and Jason nodded.
"I am thinking, skinny jeans, a tight top and leather boots," Jason smiled, stroking the small beard on his chin.
"That I would like to see," Jimmy called over from the corner of the room. Blaise, who was sitting next to him, slapped him on the back of his head, making him drop the handheld game console he was playing on.
"Can I have a non-tight top? Something that can let me breathe," Rai asked as the girls backed away from her.
"Tight clothes are an essential for spies and agents," Jason walked over to Rai. "Besides, you have an amazing body. What do you wear when not in school uniform?"
"Jean, a t-shirt and a hoodie. Why?" Rai replied.
"It seems as though I have work to do," Jason mumbled. "Right. Everyone who is not on my team leave. I must work in privacy," Jimmy, Blaise and Mr Quest got up and left the room.

Blaise sighed and let back against the door of the helicopter. Rai had been in the clothes room for about three hours now and they were running out of time. Jason was always a stickler for detail.
Suddenly the doors of the garage flew open and Jason with two of his girls came out. He had a pleased smile on his face and he clapped his hands. Jimmy looked up from his snooze from the front seat of the helicopter.
"Gentlemen, I have done that none other beautician could have done before," Jason cried. "I have made a beauty. I give you, Rai Fletcher, secret agent and now glamour goddess." Jason clapped his hands again and the doors opened up again.
Rai walked in and Jimmy's jaw dropped. Blaise was also speechless.
Rai was wearing black skinny jeans and a black top which clung a bit to her chest, but didn't go over the top. She had leather boots over her calves and her jeans and a leather jacket over her shoulders. Her hair was loose and shinning in the dim light of the aircraft garage.
"What?" she asked and Jimmy came to his senses.
"You look so fucking sexy," he complimented. Blaise hit him over the back of his head. Rai smiled a little and walked over to them.
"Where's Mr Quest?" she asked.
"He went on ahead. Right, so we drop down from the copter and break into the main hall by the sky light," Blaise said and he looked at Rai, a small smile on his face.
"Right, I'll drop you guys in and then it's down to you," Jimmy said as he pulled a helmet on and got into the cockpit.
"So, he's driving, I guess," Rai smiled and Blaise nodded.
"He's a pain in the neck,"
"All the time or when he's just driving?" Rai asked and Blaise laughed.
"All the time," he nodded. "Look, Rai. This is my brother we're going up against. Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked and Rai nodded. Whatever it took to get her parents back, she'll do it.
"Right, but just in case we don't get back, I want to tell you something," Blaise said, his voice low so Jimmy wouldn't hear.
He cupped Rai's face in his hands and placed his lips on hers. His sweet scent filled her from head to toe and his lips tasted of peppermints and something else, something mysterious.
Rai and Blaise pulled apart and looked at each other.
"Well put," Rai smiled and Blaise nodded.
"It's just, if we don't get out of this alive; I just wanted you to know," Blaise said as he took her hand and they jumped into the helicopter.

It took about five minutes to get from Headquarters to the school. Rai held tight to the seat and watched as Blaise passed her a rucksack. He pulled open the door of the helicopter and looked down towards the ground.
Rai's hair blew into her face as she took her helmet off and stuck the rucksack on her back. This as the part she was most terrified by. Not the landing, but jumping out of the helicopter.
Blaise grabbed her hand as Jimmy got closer to the school. He lent out of the aircraft and they both jumped. It was over in moments, her hair flying out behind her and suddenly she felt a huge force pulling at her as her parachute came out of her pack.
They landed and stripped off the parachute. Suddenly, two guards came running towards them and Rai punched one of them in the face as he came towards her. She high kicked the other in the stomach and they went down. Blaise grabbed her hand and they ran towards the glass skylight of the main hall.
Blaise connected a wire from his belt to a metal bar and Rai copied him. He smashed the glass with his fist and they jumped down. Their feet hit solid ground and they cut the wires.
Rai took a radio out of her belt and contacted Jimmy.
"Jimmy, we're in," she smiled.
