Chapter 17

Rai took her time packing, listening to the faint voices downstairs, two were clearing arguing, Jak and Jimmy, she smiled and shook her head, finishing packing and walked out the door pulling the bag behind her, Axel nearly hit into her walking along the landing, a phone held to his ear
"Oh yeh, ok, got it, see ya back at HQ" he said and flipped the phone shut with a sigh
"What's up?" Rai asked looking at him confused, Axel looked over and shook his head looking downhearted and annoyed
"that's the problem with job, you dont get paid and as soon as you get settled you get sent off to some stupid country someone's never heard of" he muttered and stuffed his hands in his pockets kicking a the floor
"Where?" Rai asked tilting her head slightly, Axel waved his hand
"Dont worry you've probably never heard of it" he said and looked at the bag Rai had rested by the door "I thought girls packed more than that" he said smiling, Rai hit his shoulder gently and picked up the bag
"this girl doesn't" she smiled and headed towards the stairs, "oh you never told we where you were going" she said turning to Axel
"Kosovo" he said and smiled at Rais blank expression "it's just south of Serbia Miss 92 percent" he said, Rai blinked in surprise
"But that was my..." she started
"Your mark on your entrance paper yes, I know now stop gawping like a fish and go downstairs Blaise is waiting for you" he said and turned walking down the hallway and disappeared inside one of the open doors. Rai turned and took up her bag pulling it downstairs, before she had reached the bottom floor yet another chorus or arguing came
"Y'all know im about this far from knocking your pretty little head right off your fucking shoulders" Jak
"Y'all isn't a word and you shouldn't swear" Jimmy, rather mockingly at that
"oh sorry im not Mr. Perfect" Jak growled
"You're forgiven" Jimmy said walking out into the corridor looking rather pleased with himself, looking up at Rai and walked over taking her suitcase and took her hand kissing the back
"May I?" he asked taking the suitcase, Rai shrugged
"Yeh whatever" she said, she had to admit, jimmy did look nice and he was a charmer but he could be a real idiot, Rai followed Jimmy out towards a long black car parked in the driveway
"Blaise is waiting for you inside" he said pulling the suitcase round to the back and slipped it into the boot, Rai stared at him for a moment before turning and climbed into the seat, a few minutes passed, then another and another
"Where is everyone?" Blaise asked and opened the door "you coming?" he asked and Rai nodded jumping out the other side of the car
"Are you going to say sorry or not" a voice came from just inside the building, Blaise sighed knowing probably what was happening, Jimmy would have annoyed Jak yet again and Jak would be beating him up in some way, and surprise surprise that was exactly it
"Say sorry and I will let you go" Jak chuckled, he had Jimmy in a headlock giving him a noogie, Jimmy was struggling furiously trying to get Jak off him
"GET OFF MY HILLBILLY!!" he snapped and struggled again
"Let him go Jak, we gotta go" Hannah said walking past him, Jak smiled and dropped Jimmy letting him stagger away nearly falling to the ground
"Jak hurry up" Hannah yelled from the kitchen, Jak sighed and gave Rai and Blaise a quick smile
"Slave labourer, See ya" he said and ran after his sister.
